STEM Grants

The SRC STEM Grant program increases opportunities for students to participate in STEM-related activities in the Central New York area. The grants offer resources to fund extracurricular STEM activities to help cultivate ideas that will encourage students to consider a STEM career.

Groups can apply for $100 to $500 grants to fund activities like the robotics club, Lego club, Science Olympiad, math league, etc. They can be used to purchase materials for a STEM activity or pay for transportation or team admission to a competition. They are not issued for food or personal trip expenses (including group lodging, etc.).

A limit of 2 requests per school per year will be considered for approval. Grant requests for the same program or project will not be accepted if awarded the year prior. Applicants are contacted within 2 to 3 weeks of submission.
